The Magnolia Promise

We stand behind every swing we make, and we want you to feel good about yours too.

If something’s not quite right when it arrives, please let us know within 14 days. If it’s a defect or damage, we’ll make it right. If you’ve just had a change of heart, that’s okay too, as long as it’s unused and in its original packaging, we’ll take it back (a small restocking fee may apply).

Custom pieces like bed swings, pillows, and rope kits are made just for you, so we can’t accept returns on those.

But at the end of the day, we're a small family-operated business, your happiness affects us personally. If you have any questions or just need help navigating the process, we’re only an email away.

Thank you for supporting handmade.
Thank you for trusting Magnolia Porch Swings!

Frequently Asked Questions

How will my bed swing be delivered?

Most swing beds are shipped fully assembled via freight/18-wheeler. Others ship partially assembled via FedEx ground. Check the specific delivery method for each bed swing design under the "Delivery" tab on each product page.

How do I choose the right size?

Check the dimensions listed for each bed swing design you are considering. Allow at least 1.5–2 feet behind and 1–2 feet on each side for clearance.

Taping off the desired space using the provided dimensions can help you visualize the footprint of each size in your space.

Because each swing bed is made to order, returns for buyer’s remorse are not accepted. See full return policy for further details.

Can I return a swing bed?

Which cushions & pillows do I need?

You’ll need a seat cushion ("mattress") for sure. The rest is up to your personal use and design preferences. You can mix and match or choose a styled bed swing cushion set.

How long before I receive my bed swing?

Lead times vary by design and season. Most range from 4–16 weeks. Please refer to the individual product listing for accurate timelines.

How should I prepare for installation of my bed swing?

We recommend hiring a licensed contractor to inspect your ceiling joists and ensure they can handle the weight of the bed swing + occupants (roughly 1200 lbs). In most cases, 2x6” joists are sufficient; other joists may need reinforcement prior to installation.

What are the differences between wood types?

  • Teak: Our most premium wood. Naturally weather-resistant. Lasts 15+ years outdoors. Can be left unfinished, painted or oiled.
  • Cedar: Durable and stable with natural insect-repellent oils. A-grade (no knots), C-grade (rustic with knots). Lasts 10+ years.
  • Pine: Budget-friendly; looks best and endures best when painted. May warp over time with extended sun/water exposure. Ideal for covered spaces and/or vintage finishes.
