Once your order is placed, you’ll receive a confirmation email within minutes. This confirms we’ve received your order and serves as proof of purchase.

What to expect:

• Your credit card will be charged within 2 business days.
  

• Orders are added to our production queue within 1–2 business days.
  

• Production begins 7–10 business days before the end of the listed lead time.
  For example: A swing with a 4-week lead time enters production near the end of week 3.

LTL Freight Deliveries (Large Items)

Products like bed swings & A-frames ship via freight.
These require curbside delivery and access for an 18-wheeler. Here’s what to know:

• Free curbside delivery only: Items are dropped off at the curb, not brought into the home.
  

• Free lift gate service is included: We lower your item to the ground for easy curbside offload.
  

• Delivery scheduling: The freight carrier will contact you to schedule a date and time.
  

Important: You must inspect the product before signing. If damage is visible, please note “DAMAGED” on the delivery receipt and take photos.

Damages During Shipping

We package with care, but if something goes wrong, we're here to make it right.

For Non-Freight (UPS/FedEx/USPS) Shipments:

• Inspect upon delivery.
  

• Report any damage with photos within 48 hours to sales@magnoliaporchswings.com
  

• We’ll ship replacements or parts at no cost within 2–3 business days.
  

For Freight Shipments:

• Inspect during delivery. If damage is minor, note “DAMAGED” and sign.
  

• If damage is extensive (broken wood, crushed areas), note “EXTENSIVE DAMAGE”, contact us immediately, do not remove from crating.
  

• For concealed damage found later, email us within 5 days of delivery.
  

Cancellations

Stocked Products

• Cancel any time before shipment for a full refund to your original payment method.
  

• Once shipped, the return will fall under our Buyer’s Remorse policy.
  
  

Custom Products

• Cancel within 7 days: Full refund
  

• Cancel 8–14 days: 10% materials fee applies
  

• No cancellations after 14 days due to custom fabrication
  

Returns & Refunds

Buyer’s Remorse (Non-Defective Returns)

We accept returns of non-custom swings and accessories within 7 days of delivery.

Conditions:

• Product must be unused and in original packaging.
  

• A Return Authorization Number (RA#) is required.
  

• Return shipping is at customer’s expense.
  

• A 20% restocking fee applies.

Defective Product Returns

We accept defective item returns within 14 days of delivery. These must meet the following:

• Damage or defect was not customer-caused
  

• Product is unaltered and in original packaging
  

• Return is authorized via RA#
  
  

We’ll cover return shipping and issue a refund or replacement once the item is inspected.

Custom Products

• Custom items are not returnable.
• These are made specifically for your order and cannot be resold.

Warranty & Repairs

We take pride in the craftsmanship of every Magnolia swing. If you experience an issue after delivery:

• Email support@magnoliaporchswings.com with photos and a description.
  

• Each issue is reviewed individually with care.
  
  

Due to the natural materials used (especially wood), we do not offer a fixed warranty period. Variations due to weather, use, and environment are expected. However, we stand behind our work and will help find the best resolution if something goes wrong.

Do you have a showroom?

We do not have a physical showroom. All sales are online, and we offer personalized support to help you choose the right pieces.

Where are you located?

Our home office is in Jackson, Missouri, and products ship from various U.S. locations depending on the item.

Can I pick up my order?

We don’t offer local pickup, but we provide free shipping within the continental U.S.

Wood Questions

What are the differences between wood types?

• Teak: Our most premium wood. Naturally weather-resistant. Lasts 15+ years outdoors. Usually left unfinished or oiled.
• Cedar: Durable and stable with natural insect-repellent oils. A-grade (no knots), C-grade (rustic with knots). Lasts 10+ years.
• Pine: Budget-friendly and looks best painted. May warp over time with exposure. Ideal for covered spaces or vintage finishes.

Best wood for cold or wet climates?

Cedar is a great all-weather choice. Teak is even more durable and suitable but only offered on select swings.

Best wood for warm climates?

All woods perform well. Cedar and cypress are especially good in southern regions due to their natural insect resistance.

What if my swing is exposed to the elements?

Choose cedar, cypress, or teak. We do not recommend pine for uncovered installations due to its tendency to warp and split.

Should I stain or paint my swing?

We recommend painting pine. Cedar and cypress are best stained, as their natural oils prevent paint from adhering well.

Can I leave my swing unfinished?

Yes. Cedar and cypress can be left unfinished and will naturally fade to a rustic silver patina over time.

Accessory Questions

What are Comfort Springs?

These create a soft, gliding sensation and are zinc-coated for rust resistance. Weight capacity: 600 lbs.

Do I need a hanging kit?

We recommend it. The kit offers a more secure attachment by distributing weight evenly and reducing strain on mounting points.

Should I choose rope or chain?

Both are equally durable. It comes down to your personal aesthetic preference.

Do you offer covers?

We offer swing bed covers for most styles, including custom sizes. Email us to request a quote. Standard porch swing covers are not currently available.

Shipping & Delivery

How much is shipping?

Shipping is free within the contiguous United States (excludes AK and HI).

Do you ship outside the continental U.S.?

Currently, we ship within the U.S. only.

How will my swing bed be delivered?

Most swing beds are shipped fully assembled via freight. Others ship partially assembled via FedEx. Delivery method is listed in each product’s description.

How will my porch swing be delivered?

Porch swings are delivered in a "knock-down" style. The seat and back are preassembled; arms and hardware will need to be attached on-site.

How long before my swing ships?

Timelines vary. Please refer to individual product listings. Typical lead times:
- Porch Swings: 2 days – 2 weeks
- Bed Swings: 4 – 16 weeks

Can I get fabric samples?

Can I choose other fabrics?

We offer access to Sunbrella, Tempotest, and BellaDura fabrics beyond our online selection. Email us with the fabric name and code for a custom quote.

Can I provide my own fabric (COM)?

Yes. Contact us for pricing and instructions regarding Customer’s Own Material (COM).

Are covers machine washable?

Yes. All pillow and mattress covers feature hidden zippers and are machine washable. View Sunbrella cleaning tips. Hang to dry only.

Swing Bed Questions

Can I return a swing bed?

Because each swing bed is made to order, returns for buyer’s remorse are not accepted. See full return policy.

How do I choose the right size?

Check the dimensions listed in each product. Allow at least 1.5–2 feet behind and 1–2 feet on each side for clearance.

Which cushions or pillows do I need?

You’ll need a bottom cushion. The rest is up to your personal use and design preferences. You can mix and match or choose a styled pillow set.

How long before I receive my swing bed?

Lead times vary by design and season. Most range from 4–16 weeks. Please refer to the individual product listing for accurate timelines.

How are swing beds shipped? Will I need to assemble it?

Many ship fully assembled via freight. Others arrive in 2–3 boxes and require minor assembly (hardware and instructions included).

How should I prepare for installation?

We recommend hiring a licensed contractor to inspect your ceiling joists. In most cases, 2x6” joists are sufficient.

Finish Questions

Should I stain or paint my swing?

Pine is best painted. Cedar and cypress should be stained due to their natural oils. Unfinished is also an option for a rustic weathered look.

Do you offer trade discounts?

We no longer offer trade or designer discounts.
